Once pups get to about 4 weeks old, everything they do is cute. Except pooping, I think, although the look on their faces … anyway … this guy is super cute.
The 2016 litter are four weeks old, and they already act like dogs – barking, running, asking for cuddles … they’re SO CUTE!!
A newborn pup is either sleeping or feeding. When they sleep they get walked on, lay on, and roll around all without waking up. Aamzing.
What is more delightful than a bundle of puppies loving their mum – well her milk anyway. Some things … but not much 🙂
Here they are – arrived Monday 18th April 2016. They all weigh in between 340 and 380 grams, five girls and three boys. Girls rule this year!! They’re all healthy, sucking well, moving around and happy to be with each other and their mum. Nothing’s a problem when you’re Mitzi’s puppy, she’s SUCH a good mother.

Mitzi with her 2nd litter, born April 2016 – eight week babies, five girls and three boys. All good weights, between 340 and 380 grams. Labour took from 10am till approx 3.30pm. The only slightly long labour was with the last one, a 380 gram boy. Mitzi was obviously experienced this time, and seemed to take things in her stride. …
These are tiny little newborn feet – Mitzi and Archie, born April 2016. They have very strong legs right from birth, and push themselves along on their bellies with their back legs, turning left and right with their front legs. They have a very basic sense of direction, but are blind and deaf. Fascincating to watch, I can sit watching …
