Sometimes you’ve just gotta nap so bad, you don’t have time to lie down and get comfy, and at 6 weeks, when it’s nap time it’s nap time!
Tug of War
A tug of war battle between the current owner of the playhouse with a new contender. The play house was expensive but well worth it haha. These little darlings are 6 weeks old here.
Yella Bella Bottom
Yella Bella became the queen hole digger at our house. If a new hole started it was her that started it, just about guaranteed. I could put cut logs over the top, as I did here, and she’d do her best to get down at the hole again. Here she is, cute little butt in the air, trying to salvage …
Eye Spy
Eye spy with my lovely eye … you!! Aren’t I adorable? Wouldn’t you love to love me?
Grubby Face
Look at this grubby little face!! The pups love discovering dirt. The great thing about puppies in the summer is it’s not a big deal to put them in the paddling pool for a wash. For some reason groodles seem to love getting dirty. And of course digging holes is a lot of fun.
You’re It
A mass free-for-all with everybody having a go at everybody. If you’re thinking that a lot of a puppy’s day involves play fighting, you’re right!
Follow Me
Follow me!! Pups heading up the stairs to join in with the hole digging under the plum tree.
Gotcha Camera
It’s hard to take photos when the pups decide to do a mass attack, and the more you try to keep them off the harder and better they get at grabbing, pulling, darting in – anything goes just about. I ended up on my back laughing not long after this, and the pups loved it.
Play Fight
The play fighting is constant, there’s always something to fight over or with. It gets pretty rough sometimes from a human perspective. They always seem to want more though, and if I lift them away they just go back in for more. They’ll be fighting one minute then licking each other’s faces the next.
Galloping
Framing up for a shot in the foreground and look what gallops past in the background!! By 7 weeks they can run really really fast.
